Painting rims
#3
RE: Painting rims
I have done this several times and have been pleased.
1. Clean and Degrease rims
2. Rough them up with a scotch brite pad
3. Run some steel wool over them
4. Rinse off and allow to dry
5. Coat rims with a quality self etching fast dry primer
6. Top coat with Duplicolor Argent Silver wheel paint
I painted my pony rims 3 years ago and still no problems.. Some people use a clear coat, I opted not to and it worked fine for me.
