Default Painting rims

my rims (stock ponys) are starting to fade and i noticed that autozone has wheel paint. has anyone tried this? any steps? any advice?

junk.

the best looking job will be donw just like the body would be painted.
clean it very good with something that leaves no residue, then do the base coat and clear coat.

I have done this several times and have been pleased.

1. Clean and Degrease rims
2. Rough them up with a scotch brite pad
3. Run some steel wool over them
4. Rinse off and allow to dry
5. Coat rims with a quality self etching fast dry primer
6. Top coat with Duplicolor Argent Silver wheel paint

I painted my pony rims 3 years ago and still no problems.. Some people use a clear coat, I opted not to and it worked fine for me.
