Default anybody have a florida 5.0 cluster?

im putting in a FLorida 5.0 cluster for someone and im having a hard time getting the piece of the dash that goes over the cluster to fit flush on the dash again. For anyone who has one of these did you have to take a little bit of the dash off to fit over the cluster or did you manage to get it in without cutting it?

Im having the problem you can see in this picture. You can see the dash actually hitting two of the guages which prevents that part from sitting flush on the dash

that sucks that you have to chop up the cover, you would think spending that much $$$ it would fit w/ no issues. I wanted to go with this setup one day also.

well it didnt seem like a real big deal to me the owner of the car just didnt want me to take a little bit off the cover. Overall the cluster is awesome. Half of the wiring was already done fresh out of the box and it came with EVERYTHINGneeded for the install. Usually theirs always missing bolts, connections, you have to extend wires ect. and every wire was clearly labeled.
