My stock motor only likes 87 in cold weather, and with a light throttle foot. My timing is at 10*, but I have to use 91 if I want to thrash it freelywithout pinging. Might have something to do with why my cranking compression is over 165 psionall cylinders...although I don't know why that is.

Put 87 in mine by accident after the timing was bumped to 14. Mine definitely didn't like it.
