stock idle

Default stock idle

in the new 89 it idles at about id say 600-650....is that stock idle? is that bad to be that low? just trying to figure out this car

Ya mines stock and its at 750, im prety sure it is supposed to be at 750 rpm. When its cold it is at like 1000-1100

i think mine was about 800. just adjust the throttle stop on the bottom of your throttle body.

Mine'a an 87 and it idle's real low, around 500-600, but it still runs alright. I've had it stall out on me a couple times just sitting there, but it hasn'd caused any problems yet.

yea mine hasnt stalled out i just get nervous cuz my old one idled around 850 so it feels really different but when i hit the pedal there is no hesistation so i guess it should be ok

if you wish to raise your idle ..perform a base idle reset

hmmm, mine idles around 800-1000 depending on the day,around 500 rpm it sounds like it wants to die

there is a little screw thing on the throttle body that you turn to raise and lower it
