that sucks. I guess the new stangs have no choice but to buy a rollbar before they can even try to run at the tracks. It is nice having a hatch.
If a convertible is totally stock and runs faster than 13.49 (IE viper SRT10) they do not need roll bars...

any vert that runs faster then 13.99 needs a bar. says the rule book. any car faster then 11.50 needs a bar any car faster then 9.99 needs a cage and a certification on the cage and there are other rules also if the fire wall or the floor is mod you may need a cage if you run faster then 11.50 there is a lot of ifs and buts in the rules. I gave only the base stuff for bars only.

If a convertible is PURE STOCK it will be able to run up to 11.50 in time trials and on street nights, but it must be stock. No sticky tires, aftermarket bolt-ons, Nitrous, etc. will be allowed.

just another reason I dont like verts.
i really dont think its that big of a deal.

i got my vert because of all the mod's it had, VS the price i payed.

but it is very very nice to put the top down, and hear the rumble of the car.

when i get more serious into mod's ill most likely find a all stock lx notch, and swap the engines, and sell the vert off to some old dude looking for a car to cruise in

convertables quicker than a 13.50 require a roll bar
