So I think I may have passed on a decent deal today, but what are you gonna do. Win some/lose some, cash flow a little tight. A guy had a Cobra upper manifold for sale, it looked original from the paint. I already have a Ford Racing replica (the current ones they are selling) so i know the difference there. I have it off the car. I was going to see if he could help a fellow stang guy out and swap uppers with me plus cash, as they are getting rid of a lot of parts- no dice.

I looked on 1993cobra.com. It said the original cobra upper was part#F3ZZ-9424-C. But it later said that two versions were cast as thatcaused high rpm vibration. It gave no number for the second casting. The manifold I loked at was RF-FSZE-9425-CB.Rather than thinking it may be thesecond upperI though it was maybe theoriginal Ford Motorsport offering. I later looked on another website and it said the motorsport original offering was M-9424-D51.

Does any one have any experience with these? I think from the part numbers it was a true original cobra, the later casting.being in my right mind now and not havethe buring desire for a new part in front of me like a kid at Christmas, I conclude the F- is an original ford, where the M-is motorsport. Wish I thought of that then.

Oh well. I am GT-40 manifold rich rightnow anyways. Just curious. What would you guys have paid for the upper w/ (what I am assuming is a ford 65mm t/b) It was in pretty good shape, light scratching from the a/c tube, and a little wear on the decal. Thanks in advance.

idk maybe rf3 is revised 93 ? cause f3 is 93??
