High idle on edlebrock performer 600 cfm please help>>
ok i have that idle/air screws adjusted correctly i think but the idle is at like 1200-1500 rpm's i have the idle screw turned all the out and the idle still stays high. what can i do to bring it down to at least below 1000 rpm's. the choke is wide open as well so i don't know what's going on. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks alot

what is base timing set at??? and make sure the linkage is not binding..pull linkage off and see what happens if idle drops.....also what intake are you using??? throttle plates could be catching but I doubt it if it's a square flange intake opening

it's a performer rpm intake-actually this is my first mustang and my dad has been helping me alot but i have not checked the timing and have never had to on any other car, so i really don't know what i;m doing as far as timing goes?? i'm pretty sure the throttle plates are fine they seem to move freely, i just can't get the car to idle down. IDK it's starting to **** me off, let me know if you have any other ideas. thanks

check the timing, if it's two far advanced it'll elevate idle often times..you'll need a timing light and locate pointer down on balancer and clean off balancer so you can read markings.....10 btdc should be stock setting with vaccum advance line removed
