cleaning the TB
the 89 lx surges a tiny bit and has a lil bit of a rough idle i have no idea if the throttle was cleaned but i was wondering are you supposed to clean them out and wut about the IAC? i had some guy tell me your not supposed to and i dont want to make it worse....if you are supposed to wut do u use carb cleaner?

Ford recomends not to cleam it cause of a coating on the inside of the throttle body. Not sure what they say about the Iac, but I usualy remove it and clean it out with a throttle body cleaner. then reinstall it with a new gasket.

Guy I bought my car from was a Ford mechanic and he told me he polished my TB before I bought it and he stood by it giving more power. [&:] Im getting a new one with the new engine anyways
