92 MUSTANG LX, Install a GT front bumper please help
 

I recently bought a 92 mustang lx , and i want to put afrontGT bumper on . I need to know how to take the old one off and put the new one on , anyone know how? And how to install the foglights ?

unless you put a GT/Cobra body kit on it it will look COMPLETELY out of place

your best bet is to get a Saleen LX body kit

I have all the body moldings for the GT i just dont know how to takw the bumper off.

There are 6 or so bolt per side inide the front of each fender, then another 4 across the core support, then a few under the bumper.....just start taking bolts out, you will figure it out;)

do you have a header panel for the gt bumperor is it a bare bumper?? if its bare you will need to drill out some rivets to separate the lx bumper from the header panel. then you will need to rivet the new gt cover on to it

Personally I think the LX looks a little cleaner.

I removed the headlamps and there are 3 nuts on the outer edges. then the another 3 on the bottom where it meets the fenders. I believe theres like 5 rivets in the middle and several screws on the lower middle. I had to buy the fog lamp brackets from ford because no junk yards had them. theres 1 big bracketthat goes across and 2 smaller one ones that hold the lamps. I ordered the fog lamps from summit racing.
