I think you are going to spend more than that getting them reconditioned and depending on the camshatf you are going to need springs and possibly spring seat maching. The D0OE heads are 1970 heads the C9TE are 1969 heads. They will have small cobustion chambers and 1.78 intake valves unless they came off a 351W. The cost of guide and valve job and springs and such plus buying them is not going to be worth buying a good set of aftermarket heads.

that would be c9oe heads and the dooe heads are the same as the c9's, I'd have them lightly ported and the advantage over gt-40's is smaller cumbustion chambers

to me the c90e and dooe heads are only worth it if you find a set with at least 1.94 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves in them and light porting done and all this for under 400-500, I bought a set of c9's for 300 all done up just as I said from a friend as I was looking for a budget build with a little more bang and whenI was all said and done I had less than 2500.00 in the whole rebuild and the 66 stang it's in in my sig ran on street tires 13.3 @104 and I really didn't give the build much thought, and was suprised how well it performed so if you can get them as I mentioned cheap and all work done then go for it
