clutch cable broke!

WRONG WRONG WRONG!

bbk cables are thicker than stock cables and are better
the reason they snap is the firewall adjuster has a HUGE design flaw. take a look at the the inside you will see that the cable rubs directly on the aluminum and grinds it down, sharpening the adjuster and cutting the cable. use the cable WITHOUT the firewall adjuster and you will be fine

and it rubs on the quadrant because your buying cheap quadrants, look into MM quadrants..

one more bit of info

The photo below compares the construction of an aftermarket clutch cable (upper cable) and an OEM Ford cable (lower cable). Note that Ford utilizes a multi layer construction which helps prevent heat from affecting the sliding action of the inner cable or causing a compression failure of the outer housing, while still allowing the cable to be sufficiently flexible. While we have looked at the construction of many aftermarket cables, none have had a construction that can compare to the quality of the OEM Ford cables.

so as I was saying, get an oem one.. Im using the OEM cable MM sells and it works awesome!

placed my order over 24 hours thrgogh summit for an oem cable, wi;ll have it installed over labor day on my break and let you know if it works
