Custom cup holders in fox

so my wife is starting to work the night shift, because school has started again...

ive been thinking about cutting out all of my ashtray/smoker bs and fiberglassing in some cup holders in their place...

i dont like the cup holder thing from latemodelrestoration.

anyone else have any ideas?

i just got too caught up in painting the car that i never got around to putting it in. probly wont for a while because im tearing down the motor again shortly for some more mods.

at work for the moment, if i can steal my camera back from my parents house tonight i'll snap a quick pic for you.

i made 3 different types. one i made was a vacuume moulding of a soda can.
second style i made was a inverse mould of an already existing cup holder.

last style(and the best one yet) i shaved some foam into a shape i liked using a tape measure and matching the size of a soda can, regular fast food cup and the big cups from fast food places. using aluminum tape over the mould(otherwise the foam melts). poured fiberglass over the whole mould using only a tiny bit of mesh to give it structure. once that dried i wrapped it in felt and fiberglassed the felt to it for strength. two more coats of fiberglass, primer and black paint later, she done!

btw, that thing is so strong for ****s and giggles i rolled the mustang's front wheel over the top of it and she didnt even crack....god i love fiberglass.
