88 LX exhaust on an 89 GT

I have seen a few of different things.
1. cut a hole in the ground effects for the tails to go thru....ugly
2. point them down a little to clear.....also ugly
3. Like said before get a cobra bumper and keep the tips.....Sweet!
4. just dump after the mufflers and forget the pipes completly......best IMO for GT ground effects
5. Get tips made for GT's that are bigger piping and dump like the stock.

lets put it this way, i have a box full of prep stuff and a cobra bumper on the table a room over
IMHO ford was stupid not to give the GT Exhaust tips, every car thats worth driving (i.e V8 musclecars and sports cars) need to have a pair of exhaust tips sticking out the back, or side in some cases
