hci+s/c or 347 stroker?
Hey guys i am looking to freshen up my engine this winter, and am for sure going to be doing a heads cam intake package for it. I have a good deal of money saved up, and enough where i can either throw a supercharger in the mix (probably a paxton 2000), or i could throw a 347 short block from woody in the mix. This is NOT a daily driver, and is only driven durring summer when there is no chance of rain.
any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I would build the 347 with plan of S/C it later...that is what I am leaning towards for my won build. Just keep the C/R around 8.5 or 9 to 1 so it will be safe. If you don't S/C right away, the H/C/I and 347 will be a lot of fun.

stock or mild build with s/c would be fine depending on boost level desired, strength of block for what the build will evolve into in the end can be a concern, if you never plan to s/c the 347 you should be fine, a well built 347 can run with a boosted stock or mild modded s/c 302

god so many decisions. I was thinking h/c/i + sc and then further down the road building a dart/boss based shortblock so i dont have to worry about anythihng breakin, but then i think about the 347 and that would be just cool

i have thought about the turb a LOT .... even thought about fabing my own kit up. But then realized i would once again have to get rid of brand new headers, and i would also have to do a gear swap. THat is not in my budget plan, I know its "free" hp and all that, but this car is not going to have a turbo on it. Either supercharger or stroker with nitrous, or a combination

The h/c/i + s/c may push the reliability envelope more than just a 347 build and done right in a full weight car a N/A 347 is good for mid 11's easy which is where I'm at and I have yet to crack my 100 shot which will push the envelope
