Will the stock Explorer elbow work in my mustang?

Will the stock Explorer elbow work in my mustang?
I ordered an Explorer GT40 intake and it's coming with the stock elbow. Admittidly, I'm a cheap bastard and I don't really feel like blowing $100 on one of these: (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku) if I don't need to. My friend seems to think I can make use of the Explorer elbow, but I have no idea.
Has anyone tried this?
