85 engine in 89 body??
So my question : does 85 mustang gt's come fuel injected? is it compatible with an 89 gt upper an lower intake?? i have put on the 89 lower intake to the 85 block and all bolts line up an seal tight, but there is 2 small wholes that aren't coverd by the intake, is there an intake i could buy that fits better without goin carbuerated? or could i even use apoxy / jvweld/hardener stuff to just seal the two small wholes? i couldn't get much better of a picture but both wholes are in the same spot on the middle of each side of the intake2header

not to be a dick or anything, but learn how to spell, that annoying the hell outta me
anyways, the answer to your question. the 85 will fit, but you're MUCH better off getting an 87+ engine. Heres the deal. the pistons on the 85 arent notched. therefore making major modifications... difficult. as for the intake, yeah, it should fit, and only 86+are EFI
i dont understand what your problem is, but it looks to me like you dont have the right parts on it...

85 came with a 4bbl or cfi (2-bbl throttle body injection) in GT's. I've seen it both ways on auto and 5-speed cars. Intakes shouldn't be any different. I dont understand what its not covering. There have been people put late model junkyard EFI setups on 60's 289's thats worked. Wiring is gonna be your problem. It's gonna take an 87-93 engine harness and splicing hot wires.
