Yeah, my tires are essentially bald. I'm really trying to hold off on tires until I can afford new rims as well, as I really dislike my stock 16" rims a LOT.. :\

Just a question, but I may be cutting it a bit close on my budget of $2500 if I factor in an exhaust.. Would it cause any sort of bottlenecking issues if I held off on an exhaust for now and just went with the GT40P heads, GT40 intakes (ported and polished), a new cam, and the FFRP ceramic headers?

If I went that route, is there anything I should to with my stock exhaust to make it "better" for the time being (I.E. cut out the cats)? I definitely want to add a nice aftermarket exhaust at some point, but I really like the SLP Loudmouth II exhaust and, uh, it's not cheap.

How about something like X303 GT-40 heads, such as these?

http://www.blueovalindustries.com/pr...p?pid=99011577

Those would be $1076 shipped, versus $700 for the built P heads from Tri-State (http://www.tristatecylinderhead.com/...products_id=40).

Thoughts?

Significantly better than the GTP's for almost $400 more?

Here's the real question..if it comes down to having to wait on an exhaust to be able to get the GTX's, would you go with the GTX's?

Whatever you do, please don't start stripping the car to save on weight. People really *** up good looking cars doing that.

Eh, I'm not too worried about weight. I know my car is a heavy bastard and there's nothing I can do about that no matter how much I try.

Like I said, I'm not too worried about track times, I just want a little more power on demand.

if all u want is power on demand just get nitrous.
you figure with all bolt ons and a nice cam, throw on that intake you got, you'll prolly get about 225 to the wheels if not more. then throw on a 100 shot and you'd be at your goal for less money. and no it won't blow up your car as long as you hook it up right and don't go too big of a shot.

If you want more power on demand just put a supercharger on the stock motor
