Default valve springs

is there any way to tellf the valve springs on my heads are different than stock. same ques for the rockers too.

yeah remove them and go have them tested in a spring pressure tester

if they are single spring = most likely stock but any good machine shop should have a spring tester

I no they are E7s but don't know if they have anything done to them. They come off a block with all forged internals and an E-303 cam

they are probably stock springs....hard to tell by looking at them, best way to gauge if they will be adequate is go have them tested if they are weak the last thing you'd wanna do is use them with a performance cam cause you'll never reach the full rpm potential of the cam if they float to soon

just with the e-cam in it that motor pulled strong i wouldn't doubt it if it would stay with my car through the 1/4 mile

stock heads, looks like aftermarket springs. but like MJR said only way to tell is to have them tested

and i'm just curious about the rust in the cylinder cause mine came off like this....not sure what you have is normal. it doesnt look healthy though

one thing I noticed on your head after seeing the pice of 5pointoh's head are that your head do not have the factory exhaust rotator retainers on them..which means some one has replaced them with aftermarket retainers so it could have matched springs to the e-cam= different springs..have them tested to be sure
