I am looking for a used 5.0 HO and was wondering what they are worth. Lets say 100000 miles or so. What should I look to spend?

IMO i WON'T pay more than 150.00 and I have gotten quite a few for that price , they are listed all over ebay for ridiculous prices off 400 too 700 which IMO is a joke

What he said. And are you looking for a complete motor or just longblock? I'd go up to $200-300 depending on the condition and what's included.

i traded a holley 600 for a full engine with 60k on it

Think the pick n pull near me charges about 200 for a complete motor. Think they may even pull it out for you. Look for a explore motor(96-2000 I think) and just change the cam in it.

you can nearly get them for free around here. in a junk yard you see a 5.0 motor or 5.0 HO every 5 feet. dime a dozen.....i've even seen them at garage sales for 25 bucks

I cant remember the last time I saw a 5.0 HO in a junk yard around here. They are all 4 bangers. Correct me if I am wrong, but arent the 5.0s in cars other than fox mustangs and some lincolns just run of the mill motors and not the HO roller type?

i believe the lincolns were not roller,but not sure and some t birds had the 5.0 ho roller motors
