Default Oil Change Idea...

well i went to drain my oil and i had the front end jacked up, i got a few miles on it since it was rebuilt and the oil had black from the push rods in the oil and what not, and i didnt know how i was going to get the oil out of the front sump... so i let them drain and then took an air hose and shot air into the front sump and it got all the oil out
so when i checked the level, it wasnt 1/2 high lol
i primed the system (almost have it running again, went bigger/faster lol)
and when i checked the level, it wasnt 1/2 high lol, dead on the money just a **** hair below the mid mark on the hatches.

There is a drain plug you remove from the front part of the sump. That drains the front sump. Than you remove the rear big oil drain plug. Not sure what you are getting at otherwise with the oil change idea....

remove both plugs, since the front end was jacked up, the front plug didnt drain much, i used the air hose to get it all out and it worked fantastic.

alot of people have the problem they dont get all the oil out and the stick reads high once they fill it back up.

probably could have used a better headline but couldnt think of one.

Whenever I change my oil, I undo both plugs and the filter, then lower the car back to its stance and go watch TV or something for about 20 min.

Then when I return I just jack her back up and reinstall said items

i park it at the bottom of my driveway (culdesac, starts going down before the driveway) and if its in the right spot, i can get the catch pan under it and undo the front sump and it all comes out, never had the half over problem

I never have that problem, but then again I do A oil change on a lift but if you don't have one makes more sense to me to just jack the rear up and level the car out but to each his own
