Angry I may have been duped! **Updated, good news**
Just looked at my 4.10's, no where on the ring or pinion are the stamped ford or w/ the part #. I believe my 3.73's were marked as such.

Can anyone confirm this. I'm feeling a little pissed right about now!!!

Sorry Pro...But I believe if it's not stamped Ford,
then it's not a Ford part. Where did you order it
from?

Bought them from BOI they say in the add they are genuine ford gears. 86 5.0L, is your ring stamped w/ anything?

Here's the add.

This kit comes complete with the Following:

- 4.10 Ring & Pinion Gears for 8.8" rear end. part #M-4209-G410A
- Will fit ANY Ford with a 8.8" rear End. This includes all 1986-2009 Mustangs with a V8 Engine.
- Ford Pinion Shim Kit
- Ford Pinion Nut
- Ford Crush Sleeve
- Made by Ford not Motive

mine were stamped also they were fordracing gears. looks like you might want to send them back. call DTS and see how much they sell them for

i thought 4.10 and up where made by motive?? but ya if it doesnt say ford on it, then mostlikely it aint ford

Here's a pic of the pinion


The markings look very similar to yours 86. Do yours say ford on them anywhere?
