anyone been caught by police with no cats, whats the fine or resolution if you get caught
just curious is all i cant find any stories online of anyone being caught

the chances of you getting got by the cops for having no cats is very slim. probably none. if your exhaust is super load that will get the cops attention and he could give you a ticket for noise violation. the only thing i worry about is when i go get inspected they'll see no cats, but the chance they look under the car is very slim too.

Hmm....I guess I didn't know it was illegal to drive without cats. I thought it just decreased your chances of passing inspection. Mine passed without them last year. I don't live in california though.

hell where i live i drive my car without cats and mufflers, just long tubes and resonators lol

and for inspection, license and 20 bucks will get u covered.

Every State is different as far as the penalty, I've hear of some States where it was $1,000 for each offense....I'm wondering if that is per CAT?? If you have an Off-Road pipe and your car came with 4 cats that would be 4 G's!

I would hope cops have better things to do than be out looking for people with no cats.....Imo there are more serious violations to be sought after than this!!

so far after 4 years i havent been caught, infact i've never been bothered over my exhaust :P

Most know... and most dont care. I got pulled over for my tint and the cop knew, all he said was it sounded good. (btw my tint isnt even dark and I had the windows down...)
