Default Hmm, Opinions pleasee!

Okay, a friend of myn put this car together, it was twin turbo'd. But heres the thing, he put junk turbos on the car and they leaked oil all down the headers into the cylinders. And the car is smoking, but it seems as if every day that i start it up it gets less and less, are these moly rings gonna set or are they done for and it has to come back out? The car has less then even 20 miles on it. I thought my problem may have been valve seals or someething of that nature, but i just rebuilt the whole top end valves/springs/seals everything. Didn't help. Seriously thinking about trading the car off if i can't get this **** to stop smoking or find a rebuild or stock bottom end for cheap..

Please share your opinions with me thanks.

My opinion is that the rings never got a chance to seat =/

What did he/you use to lube all the parts during assembly?
Years ago in my early years of building engines I used STP for assembly lube on everything but the cam lobes(cam lube for that) & then dumped in what was left when I added oil, after a 1000 miles I used 3 quarts of oil. I dumped & changed the oil & the dang thing broke in almost immediately.

if the seals in the turbo are bad that'd explain the oil issue, rebuild the turbos

rings seat almost immediately. i talked to a guy that built straight drag cars just the other day and he said with in hours after putting the engine back together and break in period he would fly down the track.

i would have to agree with the seals in the turbos
