do you like 91 or hate it? how freaking high is your timing that 91 pings, are you suppose to be using 110 octane?

no, my car is pinging a bit, its going away, i think its because i still had a 1/4 of a tank of 87 when i filled it up with 91

93 here but I'm suprised it does that with the aluminum heads you have.....just buy some octane boost in the meantime and dump in there

To compound your problem, 91 octane in California is crap. A noted Subaru Tuner (Cobb) has had to release two seperate 91 tunes. One for California and one for the rest of the US, because the California 91 is so poor.
