this may sound like a dumb question, but I dont know so I figured I ask...

after my car gets its clutch put in and the code 91 related problems worked out, I plan on getting subframe connectors as the next mod... do I need to remove the carpet or simply pull it back or anything to have them welded in? I just plan on getting standard connectors from Maximum Motorsports.... the black powdercoated set is decently priced...

I really want to stiffen up my flexible ragtop, but dont want to set fire to it by accident...

I didn't pull the carpet back as I was welding them to the unibody rails on the underside and all I did was spray every so often with a water bottle to keep surrounding area cool...worked well

I planned on getting new carpet anyway, so while I had the carpet was out I welded in the sub frames.

get the full length subframes. I took mine to a shop and had them installed for like $80 bucks. I told them about pulling the carpet back but when I got it back there was no reason for me to believe that they did... and my interior wasnt on fire so Im sure its OK

thanks guys, are the full length worth it over the regular style? I know they make a different type for the verts...

with full lengths, IMO, you can actually feel the difference.
