The same thing happened to me 15 days ago to the day. I was running a fiberglass hood. I watched it fly off and flip through the air and smash into the asphalt. It was broke up pretty bad. When I say this car build has bucked me from the beginning, I am not exaggerating. This happened on the first time I drove the car. I went to make a block around my sub-division. On the back street I was going about 25mph in third gear and all of a sudden....POOFFFF. And I saw it hit the road. I was instantly pi$$ed off. I hadn't at this point even got down on the car while driving it. After it happened, I tried to lean on the skinny pedal and the car just blew the tires out from under it. I did manage to keep it going in the correct direction and man was it fun skating my car, that I built, up the hill for 75-80 yards. I had to slow down and make a turn, I then stood on the gas again and the same thing happened. It was much fun. Then of course, alot of the neighbors had to come outside and see what the hell I was doing, looking at me like I had just raped their mothers. Keep in mind, all I have is open ended longtubes. That's why I was taking it easy as not to disturb anyone. Hell, I haven't even launched the car off of the transbrake yet. But soon young grass hoppers, I come home tomorrow for my 14 days off, then I will try and pick the front tires up out on the 4 lane in front of my house. I will try and get a video of it when I do. I did just launch it off of the footbrake in my driveway. It tries to hook, but it still breaks loose, but not too bad. i think it will be better once I heat up the M/T radials and try it.

Nope, folded right over the roof and smashed my sunroof. It did, however, hit so hard it knocked the rearview mirror off the windshield.

I'm scared now. I don't want my hood to fly off.
