sorry... that 13.60 slip is a aod 'vert, it was titled '88 car

anyways... it went 14.20's, and as far as knocking off 1 second w/ years... yes... thats what you expect.

2 of 3 5-speed cars i jumped from 2.73 to 4.10

do the math on total gear........add a sticky tire to it and if you get less than 1 second, you need to improve your driving.

it's not new news... i'm 37 and on my 6th stang, got the first one in 1987... got my first 5.0 in 1990

and back in the day .... stock stangs hit 12's w/ a good driver and big launch

there is a huge diff from early 5.0's to later 5.0s , i can prove that w/ my slow azz '93

SO ANYWAY...I'm hoping I'll hit around a 13.9-14.3 depending on launch. I'm going to CAROLINA DRAGWAY on Thursday if anyone's interested in meeting up.

For those who haven't seen it yet. The new 5.0 mag has a 89 lx that ran a 12.9 on a complelty stock motor. Just a cold air, gears, weight reduction, control arms and tires.
