Default Come on guys help me out

My name is blake im a new member and i need some ideas for an idle problem. I have a 93 fox that is a 306 with a ford racing e cam, trick flow street heat intake, cold air induction and a few other goodies and tha thing just idles funny. It runs fine just going down tha road but if im coming to a stop and i push tha clutch in it dies. Just replaced fuel injectors stock 19#, new throttle position sensor, plug wires, and egr. Tha timming is set at 10, and tha fuel pressure is about 38 psi. I did tha self test and there are no codes.

Sorry for tha long description but i figured the more i tell yall the better. Any suggestions would help. And if im posting in tha wrong section let me know.

Thanks.

make sure you tps is set .6-1.01 volts, base timing is set 10* and base idle is set with IAC unplugged. if you still have issues from there, clean your MAF and if you still have issue pull codes.

Question,

How would vaccum leaks lead to his problem?

when he describes idle issues i assume he means either hunting for idle or an irradic idle. sometimes this can be attributed to a vaccume leak. it was just a suggestion, sometimes the unexpected happens. my bet is it has something to do with his baseline settings.

start your car, unplug IAC, set your base idle, turn off your car. plug in your IAC and then restart the motor. see if that helps.

did you verify your tps voltage?

i put it in that order for a reason. i've had issues setting base idle when tps is out of range.

tps, timing, base idle = good idle.

No ill have to get my hands on a volt meter then ill try it. Tha weird thing is when i do get it to idle it surges like it trying to find a good idle point.

go to the hardware store and get a generic multi meter. they're like 10 bucks.
