okay so i wanna know something
i've read on here in numerous threads, and by more than one poster, and people giving reccomendations for other mustang owners to install fans out of a taurus. why is that? why would you want a taurus fan in a mustang? sorry if this is supposed to be an obvious answer, but i really do not know. i have known a few people with a taurus, and i gotta say in my opinion it's one of the WORSE and cheapest cars ford ever made. i wouldn't want anything out of a taurus in my mustang.

the taurus is a super crappy car. all we want is the electric fan.
stock 5.0 stangs run a mechanical fan and clutch which robs the motor of power. we suggest the taurus fan for a couple reasons. one they are numerous and a dime a dozen. pretty much a direct bolt up electric fan to fit our radiator size and it has an amazing CFM rate over the overpriced aftermarket compition.
easy to get,
easy to convert
quality fan
increase hp
better look under the hood.

okay man thanks i get it now. i figured maybe it had something to do with an electric fan rather than the clutch fans. i don't know though dude i still wouldn't want anything out of a taurus in my car though haha.

exactly. you take the drag off the motor.
you dont have to go that route but most other routes are more expensive and usually not as efficient. trust me its a good upgrade. personally i got a generic autozone fan that runs at 1800 cfms for 12" fan and the wire harness. less than 100 bucks and works like a charm

So uh, call me dumb But how do you tell if the fan has been switched? I've never seen the taurus fan and this is the only fox I've actually worked on, My car had some stuff done before i got it, so i'm still in the dark on a few bits, whats the differance? (pics?)

is the fan attached to the waterpump pully.? if yes then is still a stock set up. if there is no phsyical connector to the waterpump pully and it runs electrically and mounted to the rad, then its an electric fan which is aftermarket.
