Best way to strip paint
I'm gonna need some body work done, I figure I'll strip the paint myself. I don't have access to a sandblaster, and I've got what looks to be 3 coats to strip. White, a red layer underneath that, then primer.
What do you guys use? My friend's father used something called Aircraft Remover on his old Nova, worked out well for him, but I don't think it's gonna be strong enough in my situation.

It would be strong enough but whatever you do dont use it on any plastic or fiberglass parts, You would probably be better off using an 8in mud hog or an 8 in verticle grinder with some 80grit on it then go back over it with some 220, on the plastic and fiberglass parts i would use a d/a with some 320 or 400 on it !

Why are you removing all of the paint? Is there problems with the paint thats on it now that would make you believe its the fault of not stripping it when the repainted it from red to white? if not then leave it if its only those coats on the car. If the car had like 5 different coats of paint then I would be careful and then I would say strip it. Also if your committed to doing it I would find someone local that does soda blasting... Or you can do it your self they make this thing they had on trucks tv on spike they used. Or I would just use a orbital sander. Im afraid to play with air craft remover that stuff is scary to play with.

I'm stripping it because I have a rust situation on the roof that is growing, and I'm finding more and more plastic filler around the roof areas, like near the 1/4 windows, etc..
I'm going all out on this car, rotisserie paint job, engine bay holes filled, etc..
Planning on making a very very clean car, so I want it done right.

on larger area's when i did mine i used a 8" verticle sander as suggeted above ^^^ from a neighbore of mine. smaller areas i used liquid stripper and in tight crevices i used my blaster since its quick, clean, and my compressor isnt quite big enough to do large area's.
