Default what the heck is on my rear end??

what is this big hunk of metal on the rear end? its hooked to what looks like rubber mounts?? can i take this thing off or what?

its on the left side on this pic...


and its the hunk of metal on the very bottom of this pic...

will it affect the durability at all tho? i can deal with some vibrations but if i take it out its not going to destroy my rear end somehow right?

damn. fine i'll leave it! haha just trying to shave some weight.
also my abs never worked on this car so leaving those abs sensors and the part thats on the end of the axles off this set of axles won't hurt anything will it?

your abs light will be on or it may already be on but leaving off the reluctor ring won't hurt it

the lights been on. well actually it won't be i pulled the bulb a long time ago. i never drive my car in the winter so i don't really need abs anyways. no ice in the summer time haha.

abs helps retain steering capability even on dry pavement if you ever have to panic stop so wheels don't lock up, I wish my fox had it
