116k not a whole lot of miles on a "stock" 302 that been well cared for...

leakdown tests are just as easy as compression tests, hook it up to the cylinder, hook it up to an airline, then read the gauge. anything more than a 10% leakage is iffy. anything more than 20% your going to want to redo the bottom end. if the leakage test is fine then throw on the supercharger!

also if a tester is only 75-100, it would prolly be cheaper to buy the tester than to have a shop do it.

I'll have a look around to see if I can have the leakdown test done, or if I can just do it myself.

I'll let you know what my results are and we can go from there.
