Default Track Times

1st Run:
60ft-1.749
1/8-8.52
MPH-80.2
1/4-13.362
MPH-102.05

2nd Run:
60ft-1.805
1/8-8.508
MPH-80.87
1/4-13.408
MPH-98.05

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why my times were so close but my MPH was so far off. Sorry didnt get any vids.

by looking at your 1/8 mile times you were on track for a faster et so something may have happened to slow you down in the 3rd to 4th gear shifts cause after the 1/8th mile with out seeing the other time measurements it's hard to see where the slow down occured but it happened after the 1/8 th mile on the second run

i bet it was the 4th to 5th normally i just take it to redline in 4th but i decided to try 5th and i bet thats what messed it up. makes since now

Thanks its pretty easy with slicks though. Does low 13s sound about right for a b cam gt40p heads and explorer intake?

I would say those times with your mods sound about right. Old technology combo, but it sure runs good. Before the Vortech my combo(TF heads, cam and GT-40 intake) w/auto ran a 13.1 and 13.2-.30's consistently. I also made 271rwhp and 311tq.

yeah this winter i am puting a new shortblock under it it has 170k plus right now and maybe a new cam and heads this summer. I would really like to get it into the 12s
