I say canfield heads with custom jay allen cam, since thats what i've got
ja cams aren't that expensive mine was 300. not too much more than a normal cam.

yeah, most of the off the shelf cams are 200 or better anyways, so the custom cam isnt that much more, plus you will be ALOT better off with it!

well i got the motor that im planin to build tore down, the first on i got was junk since it was already 60 over. i got this one out of a 87 crown vic with 60,000 origenal miles. i got it tore down and the cylinders still have the cross hatching and virtually no ridge on top, i still plan to have it bored .30 over and cleaned up. the casting number is E7TE which i found strange cause that means its a truck motor. anyone have an insight on this?

as far as the e7te i think they all (roller blocks) that cast until the early ninetys i heard not sure on that either , but i just got a shortblock traded to me and it has d1 rods and the block says e7te also ??
