Default boost and hp for the 5.0

I have had three 4.6 cars and would like to start a different project since i have sold all of them. SO my main questions for now would be how well would a stock 5.0 handle boost, how much could it take, and what kind of numbers could you get out of a bolt ons 5.0 with supporting mods and a turbo.

thanks

keep the rpm low and tune on and a stock block should handle 450-500 hp okay.....there are plenty of members on here with stock builds knocking on the 400 hp door with boost

what would be a good single turbo to match to the 5.0 and what supporting mods would it need(fuel delivery, tuning)?

its all in the tune and how your going to build it mjr was right keep the rpms down and you should be able to run around 500 no problem as long as your not tuning it on kill mode

so u can limit out a stock 5.0 on just boost, so what is to gain by changing the h/c/i until after u forge the motor

Also, what is the limit on just the block if you put in forged internals

thanks

block isnt going to be any stronger if you forge it just less chance of throwing a rod. Ive talked to many 5.0 racers over the last few years. Good ones too that have been in the business of hardcore racing 5.0's and the one thing i keep hearing is it is not how much horsepower you have but what your et's. One guy has told me many times once you start going 10.50's your a ticking time bomb but hes seen low 10's ang high 9's on stock block. Did they last? No not for long but its more of how fast are you going to go not how much horsepower ( to a certain point) hope this helps
