cobra intake (help me)

Default cobra intake (help me)

i am very new to the whole 5.0 scene and there are many things i dont really understand. i have found a lot of info on this site. but i do have 1 question will a cobra upper/lower intake froma 93 cobra fit on a 94 5.0 mustang and if so is that like the gt40 intake? thanks in advance guys

I believe all you need to make it fit is an intake elbow, and yes the Cobra intakes are essentially GT40 intakes with more meat on them.

Yes it will works as is...but, you will need to install a throttle cable from a 87-93 Fox boby Mustang....

I am not saying you are wrong but you need the adapter made to curve the intake. The strut tower gets in the way of the intake tubing, hense the reason ford curved it.

so will the stock strut tower work with the curved elbow. and also wat is the difference between high rise valve covers and small valve covers. which do i need

You will want the smaller valve covers unless you run an intake spacer. then you might have hood clearance issues. The taller ones are usually used on carb applications. The strut tower can not be changed. The brace however will be fine. If you use the elbow adapter then it will put everthing in the right spot. If you do want to run the spacer for the intake take the measurements on space between the intake and the brace now and see if there is enough room. I think you would need a 1 inch spacer. Its really not worth it because you can modify the stock valve covers to fit taller rockers.

Just did this set-up on my buddies '95 Cobra! because of his set-up with the SC, he wanted to use a 93 Cobra upper ...I will take a pic this weekend...
