Since no one has answered the sunroof question I will explain.
After you pop the handle down to open it there is a clip on each side of the handle to push in and pop them out of their holes. You then push the sunroof up and pull it toward the back and slide it out of the roof. Their are little clips that slide into the front part of the roof. I have the same roof in my 83. I don't have the straps like that but I do have the vynal bag that the roof goes into. It came with the car when I bought it years ago.
Very clean car and it would be great to have but I can't justify spending 13g's on one. But someone will.

Obviously I'm a notch guy so I'd rather have this http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/cto/900760702.html Last year of one of the more disireable models with less than 1000 miles per year. Probably runs better than the day it rolled of the line.

All factory ones should. I have seen alot of different types of sunroofs but those are usually dealer/aftermarket setups. I have also heard these are called moonroof's because they don't open very far. just far enough for me to stick my fingers out the top and let the air out pretty much. Great for those who smoke and don't want to roll their windows down.

The strap is not for holding the sunroof in place. The strap is for attaching to a kids car seat. It's a Canadian thing (law, actually). Look at most late model cars and you will see hooks on the package tray for said car seat retention straps.
Blue LX Coupe>Blue LX Hatch>Black GT
That black GT would be cooler if it didn't have the sunroof. Not having a sunroof is one of the reasons I chose my car. They leak and deform the roof. One last note, Sunroof: glass. Moonroof: Steel. I've never seen an American car with a moonroof.
