Default Just wondering

I just had my 84 vert 's carb rebuilt a major tune and my car still runs bad when I start it in the morning the exhaust fumes will make you gag. One day I run over an island in this parking lot and that seemed to have awakened up all my horse's my car run very smooth the acceleration was top notch and no exhaust fumes. But low and behold it's back to the same. I thought something was loose but when I took it to the shop they told me everything checked out correctly has anyone else every have that problem and if so what did you do to correct it any advice would be grateful

you might want to post this in the carb section right above this one or wait for a mod to move it. you'll get better responses in there (i believe), never really been in there though lol.

How does it run after it warms up? I would be looking at the choke setting first and go from there. The choke pull off may not be working. That would def give you the rich symptom you have.

It runs OK after it warms up but while sitting at a light the exhaust fumes can still be smelt . I'll have my mechanic check the choke and see if that fixes the problem
