Default 94 gt intake howl

I have a 1994 mustang gt 5.0L HO motor that when you start it it howls really loud from the intake. Upper and lower gaskets have been changed and a new mass air flow sensor has been put on. A different EGR and IAC has also been changed out. It has a stock airbox with a K&N air filter in it. The sound isnt coming from the rear end or the trans.

Please help with suggestions.

I checked all the plastic lines and hoses, I even sprayed starting fluid around the top to see if the engine would idle up from it.

Are we talking a deep howl or more like a whistle? Any chance it's just the TB? As far as checking for vacuum leaks... the starter fluid works sometimes. Same thing with using propane. It works sometimes. But both methods failed to make any noticeable difference when I was searching for a vacuum leak in an SN95. To make sure, just grab a vacuum gauge and hook it up to the tree. They're fairly cheap.

If you're getting any kind of air related noise though, I'd almost certainly say that it's a leak or that it just the TB.

It is a deep howl not a whistle and when it idles it idles at about 900rpm, and doesnt fluctuate

Do you have something like a camcorder, a digital camera that can take video / audio, or a Flip, or anything that will let you post the video of it? Are you hearing it from closer to the intake or is it louder closer to the K&N filter? Does it change when you give it some gas and open the TB a bit?
