Default EX cop cars

i want to know if cop foxbodys had anything special or different from the normal foxbodys and if it was a good idea to buy one or were they most probably raped? i found one for 1700 and the guy said it is all solid but has some body rust spots and has a hole in the dash where the cop equiptment used to be and as for pictures he said he will email me some tomorrow.

so is it a good idea? ooh yeah and the car is from oregon

SSP mustangs are usually raped on. If I remember correctly they have a p/s cooler (maybe a oil cooler I'm not sure which) Seat mount reinforcement plates (on the floor around the bolts where the seat mounts), 140mph speedo, a dual speedo cable setup to be able to track other cars speeds or something like that. I think they had a heavy duty suspension to. Not sure what all else there was but oo well. I wouldn't buy one for its value but if its in good shape for what a foxbody should be go for it and treat it like any other car pretty much.

yea treat it as if it's a normal 5.0. Since it was at one time used with law enforcement, it was most likely driven pretty rough, and in some cases when those get beat to **** they don't replace the individual parts they dump the car, so it might not have any replaced newer parts. But if it looks like it's in good condition no rust or heavy body frame damage go for it if it looks decent.
