no my question was if i have a completely sealed battery does the box still have to be vented to pass NHRA specs?
IIRC if you have a coupe or vert you do not have to vent the box because its in a trunk, but in a hatch you do basically because you are in the same conpartment as the battery. i could be wrong though. i'd vent it anyways.
Thanks for all the thorough information. I think I'll be ordering the Taylor box soon just because I'd prefer having an aluminum box. How hard is it switching up battery cables and terminals? I think that would probably be the hardest thing to do here. Drilling a few holes is cake work.
actually, I read through the contents of that kit, it said positive OR negative cable. Not sure if it comes with both at all. Since it also says the cable length is 192 inches.

you need to have a metal bulkhead behind the rear seat... I think with a vert it is different, cuz I think the trunk is 100% sealed off from the rest of the body...
but I may be wrong also, cuz the bulkhead may only be needed with a fuel cell mounted in the trunk
