gonna hit the track again
Hey guys...gonna hit the track tonight...i ran a 13.5 @ 98 mph on my last outing. I havent had time to go to the track since the last time...so i figure i'd go tonight...the only thing different on the car tonight is i welded up the torque boxes and have a little cooler weather. I am also gonna run a short belt tonight. Lets see if i can break that 13.5 barrier! Wish me luck!

thanks man...track opens at 7...got everything in the car ready to go...looks like its gonna be about 55 degrees out tonight...perfect! Wish i had free time to get some rear suspension on the car!

just got home...only made 2 passes cause i was helping my buddy out in his 05 gt...well i did it...
1st pass:
1.792 60 ft
8.528 1/8th @ 79.937 mph
13.420 @ 100.505 mph
2nd pass:
1.683 60 ft
8.366 1/8th @ 80.361 mph
13.268 @ 100.255 mph
launching at 5k and a short belt...about 58 degrees....i said i could run a low 13 and i did!! I love this car...high 12's is just around the corner...some skinnies and rear suspension...i should be there!..if not, a k-member and its 12's for sure! Stock motor!
I do have a vid but cant upload it...my buddy will do that...time slips will be scanned first thing tomorrow...

thanks man! It felt good. I was even selling the car for like 2 weeks cause i never have time to enjoy it! Its off the market now...so close to them 12's!

pretty sick time there, congrats. cant wait to see the videos. she still have a violent launch? i remember the last videos looked like your rear end wanted to jump off the car. get some rear suspension and you should have a way better launch! good luck on the 12's!!

a little better...the torque boxes are welded up now and i set the front struts a little firmer...took off good...i think rear suspension and front skinnies will get me into the 12's...i was gonna stop there and go for some power mods but if i get into the 12's with the 2 mods mentioned above...i may hold off and keep on staying on the stock motor and do the k-member...i wanna see how far i can go on the stock uncracked motor...once i see that i'm not going any faster..than i'll add some power...cam, intake, heads, etc
