first time headed to the track
so i wanna headdown to the local 8th mile track, but i havnt ever been on one. i was wondering if yall could give me some info and things i should do and dont do. im going to be running some street tires a bud gave me. Should i take a couple easy runs to get the feel before i open it up?

ease into it out of the hole with street tires...and go on the third yellow on the tree!!!...........let some air out of the tires and do a burnout / hole shot, traction will be limited on street tires so don't expect to see the full potential on the et slip

what psi should i run 20 maybe? so i need to roll out of the hole, "i know how to do that lol", once i get going i can lay into it right, still got the stock 2.73s in there so no 2 gear peeling for me

20 psi is a good place to start with on street tires, hooking up will be key......slide out of the hole then lay into it, if your good you should be able to get close to a 1.90-2.0 -60 ft

This is interesting. I think this is the 1st time I have to disagree w/ Mike. IMO, Dropping pressure and doing a burn out on street tires does nothing. If anything, it will make them less sticky. Avoid the water box and keep 'em dry. Or you could experiment and let us know what worked best.
