Well I have heard a stock 351 can hit 12's. If you are willing to spend $300+ on a set of headers then have at it. There are obviously other expenses to but that is one of the big ones. I know I am going with a 351 on my next motor build. R.barn's n/a 351 put down 475 hp. 358 with afr, huge cam, big intake and carb.
well what do you suggest mjr 347 or 351 and remeber I only want like mid 12's with my dd
347 stroker... early or late casting block, 100% N/A, 100% driveable...... will run mid-low 11's all day long.... 347 from woody + Canfield 195cc or TFS 190cc "fast as cast" heads + a CI cam = new set of undies every time you race it.... and keep A/C, P/S and P/B......

I don't wanna be goin that daggone fast and it be street driven that's way too much of a temptation for my right foot lol
A 347 will out run a 357 inch stock stroke windsor, there is no disputing this. For a 12 sec car and you dont want to buy headers, intake, oil pan and distributor, you build a 347 and be done with it.
A cleveland head is still better than 95% of off the shelf inline heads, if you have a CLUE
would I be able to build that 347 with the cleveland heads cause I'll probably get the stroker kit from you somewhere around Feb. or Mar. and I'm just wantin to know what would be cheapest

The last thing you need is a cleveland head. Build a 347, use any aluminum head and if the car doesnt go 12's dont look under the hood for the problem
