ughh 302 or 351
#11
my main plan with the 302 was to put forged internals and then put a turbo on it to make ~400hp i want to make a cheap weekend warrior that will only see track days until my car is payed off and i can afford to put it on the street

well as u were gonna turbo it and throw good internals in the 302 , no reason not to do the 351 w and you will end up paying a little more but you will be able to turn up the boost with the 351 w and have 1 hell of a a torque monster....

you can bore and stroke the 351 to a 454 like one of my friends did

See my previous post in this thread for all stock block stroker options....
I say the W for several reasons, like block strength, cubes, torque for a street car etc... I understand when cash flow is low you do what you need to as well. Good luck with your decision.

Noone ever factors in the cost of distributor, headers, intake, oil pan on the windsor swap, not that the windsor swap is a bad idea, not for one second but when a guy sees an extra 1-2k for this that and the other thing when he doesnt have money to begin with you can see its not as easy as "351 FTW"
