Default Which Gear Oil Do You Use

Which Gear Oil Do You Use? Do you also use the friction modifier
if the manufacturer states it is in the oil? Also, are you installing
a gasket or using silicone sealant?

I used 2 bottles of Royal Purple 75w90. It has friction modifier mixed in (two birds, one stone) . For a gasket I used copper seal from Permatex, not sure if its the best/right stuff, but it hasn't leaked.

I agree, royal purple is the way to go. It isnt exactly cheap or easy to get your hands on locally, might have to go through summit or jegs, but you pay a price for quality

I use carquest 75w90 with the friction modifier. I prefer to use a gaskets because you do not have to wait for the silicone to dry before putting fluid in.

Very good. Now the next question:
Why do you use the brand you stated? Do you use it because...

Good advertising
Word of mouth
It is expensive and you have extra $$$
It is local and you hate spending lots of cash in shipping costs
