i will check all the spark plugs tomorrow morning and the firing order i got it off of my chiltons manual so as far as i know it is correct.
and if it doesnt start i have not a clue what to do.. i did use electric grease on all the spark plugs and disstributor and coil could that effect anything?

i checked my old spark plugs and they were autolite 26 and the ones i bought were autolite 25 will that make nay difference??
i also called a mechanic off of craigs list that came to me with the best mullet i have ever seen he came with a lunch box looking tool box and pulled out a callculator (i was supprised he knew how to use it) and told me that ford 5.0 arent really 5.0 they are 4.9 adn chevys 305 is real 5.0 and the only way to go then he left....

WOW, thats special. the differnce being the ford 5.0 is easily one of the best small blocks ford ever built and 305 is a turd......305 = EPIC FAILURE. and dont all mechanic's have mullett.
No thats only one heat range i believe. shouldnt matter a bit.

When I changed my valve covers, same thing happened to me (in my defense I was in a hurry) but I started it, and it died right away and it made the hissing sound, I knew right away what I forgot to plug in, it was the emisson hose under the front of the intake. (I was focusing on the back lines and the front one slipped my mind) Plugged her back in and was back in bussiness. I did not smell any gas though.
But i would defenetly check the firing order.
