Shouldnt need rtv on the TB, I was going to write that its not the MAF, because it would still start with the MAF unplugged but looks like you got it

i thightned the bolts to the tb and it still leaks so would it be smart to use rtv?

you can get by by using rtv, but the new gaskets is like 10 bucks from summit. i used rtv for awhile, but in my oppinion its kinda messy

^^^did u clean off the old gaskets on both parts?

i have never had a problem with it sealing...and why did u pull off the tb when u pulled the intake u could of just left it on the intake...?

yeah i used a razor blade and got them all off but should i use rtv on bothe sides and put the gasket in the middle?

u could try a very light coat of it its just that all the cars and times i pulled off my tb i never needed rtv to seal it up..........

when i opene it i will check for any old gasket and can i still use the same gasket? it has less than 15 min of use but it leaked can it get wet and ruined?
