Default Should I Upgrade?

Background: 1991 LX is getting some Max Motorsports heavy duty adjustable lower control arms. The car already has 4 KYB rear shocks and some lowering springs(about 1 inch). The rear is being upgraded from the 3.55s to 3.73s.

Problem:Will removing the quad shocks to allow for larger rims/tires without upgrading upper control arms cause wheel hop?
Should I get new upper arms? Should I get the ford arms with same stock construction but stiffer rubber? Should I get aftermarket stronger arms but ensure there is not a urethane bushing. Will upper arms make any difference?

Thanks

I did just lowers when I had my 87gt at first and I still had wheel hop. I did adjustable uppers shortly after and that took care of the wheel hop.
