Rebuilding the bottom end.... Parts help.
OK, so Im doing a basic rebuild on a 90 bottom end. This is going in the car until I have the money to do my 347. I am going to spray it just a little bit (100 shot just for fun.)
For the rod bolts, should I step up to the ARP Wave-Locs, or will the simple ARP Hi-Po series suffice?
Going to get a Cloyes double roller timing chain.
Stud the mains with a girdle.
Clevite bearings.

When you stud the mains and add the girdle you will need to have the block line honed.

This is what I have so far...
Sealed-Power piston rings
Sealed-Power Cam Bearings
Clevite Rod Bearings
Sealed-Power Main Bearings
FRPP Full Roller Timing Chain
Jegs Water Pump
Melling standard oil pump
ARP Rod Bolts
Anything else I am missing as far as the bottom end goes?
I am getting a Pro-form pan and pickup kit on my next paycheck.

if your just doing this until the 347 why the pan and why the rod bolts and such as the stock will be fine with a 100 shot?
and not to mention your gonna have a machine shop bill also so your cheap rebuild will become a thousand or teo in a hurry when that $$$ could of been a shortblock delivered to your door from fordstrokers ,,, seems silly to me as u said your going 347

The machine work is already done, minus the rod clearancing and the align bore. Its gonna be a while before I can afford to do the 347, as in at least 6-9 months. I'm a little tighter on money than I thought.
Also, some of the stuff I can swap over to the 347, like the pan, water pump, etc. when the time comes.
I already have heads that are good enough for a 302, but abit too small for a 347.

Just pulled the trigger.
Bought...
Main and rod bearings .010/.010
FRPP Oil Pump and shaft
FRPP Water Pump
FRPP Full Roller timing chain w/ steel gear
ARP Wave-loc rod bolts
Costs me $408 shipped. I'll get the rings, pan, and pick up next check. Decided to hold off on the rings so that I can get some better ones with the extra money I'll have. Expect a build thread coming soon.
